about

Some have questioned where Matt Goddard has been; the once Dopamine monikered producer has hidden himself away, concocting some truly amazing and clinical work in his London enclave, ready to unleash on the unsuspecting techno throng under his own name! Making for a more personal but still as rawkous re-introduction!!

Lead track 'Boxed' is unrelenting in its build, raw vocals underlie a thumping drumline with spacious atmospherics that carry this rolling techno number into oblivion, which is guaranteed to fill a space perfectly, whether an intimate basement or airy arena!
'Shimmy' is raw in every sense. A direct, minimalistic kick surrounded by simplistic hats, claps and percs allow a warm frenetic bass line, spacious stabs and even more titanic synth work shine through!

On remix duties, Brazilian and recent introduction to the Death Proof family, Kleber [Italo Business/Killer Beats], brings the samba to Boxed's ferocity: latin shuffle is thrown beneath its underlying darkness making for yet another sustained techno triumph! Peak time certified.

And Matt's fellow countryman, Sebastian Bayne [IF? Records/Kisu] sees out the EP with an undeniably monstrous remix of Shimmy, clearly meant for the darker enclaves of a club: this techno onslaught rides high on concrete kicks and feverous claps with glassy high-pitched and formidable bassy synths!
