about

A welcome return from our Mexican cohort Jnks sees him unleashing even more monstrous techno on the unsuspecting techno legions!

Lead track ‘Hold On A Second’ is unrelenting in its build; a sparsely, delayed synth and distant growling vocal underlie a thumping drumline and raw sub, with spacious atmospherics that carry this rolling techno number into oblivion. On 'TARS’, Jnks joins techno ally Redraft Memories for a track that is measured in its build. Direct, minimalistic kicks and warm throbbing bass lead, before becoming surrounded in simplistic hats, claps and percs. Then, with a steady incline, spacious acid-stabs and even more titanic synth work shine through!

Contrary to Jnks last release (Eagle Eye EP), which seen a full Mexican roster on remixes, we've hit the European mainland this time around. Firstly, Stockholm's techno stalwart Kristian Heikkila [Gynoid Audio/ePM Music] turns in what he’s renowned for, a clinically sharp thumper! Maintaining the power in the original he’s sympathetically structured a rolling thunderous piece and washed those synths through enigmatic drops! Secondly, our good friends Diction, who are having a very great start to 2015, bring even more drive and roll to their remix. A solid big room bass throbs throughout with glass like highs that thrust and stab, with the great restructuring of the synth line and vocals.
